About Executive Chef Joideep Dutt

Chef Joideep has an extensive work history spanning over 20 years and has worked in quite a few countries and has been the Director of a very successful restaurant consultancy business over the past few years. Joideep has been Executive Sous Chef with the Royal Caribbean Cruise lines where he was responsible for creating menus for different cruises and going on board and implementing the menus. After which he made Cayman Islands his home and started a restaurant on the Grand Cayman islands which went on later to be voted the best restaurant in the Caribbean by Fodor’s Travel Guide. Thereby he went on to launch six other successful restaurants on the islands.

He has had the privilege of cooking for high profile guests like Bill Gates, Paul Allen co-founder of Microsoft, Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Michael Schumacher, Vince McMahon owner of WWF, Courtney Cox, Courtney Love, Raquel Welch to mention a few.

He relocated to Australia in 2004 after a devastating hurricane Ivan ruined the islands. He has opened and run numerous restaurants in Melbourne like Live bait, Meccah bar, Alexander room on Bourke, Windows on the bay in Mordialloc, Steakhouse Pier 35 in Port Melbourne and Bluefire grill are some of the restaurants he successfully run.

Chef Joideep based in Melbourne joins us now at the Four Points by Sheraton Geelong to lead our culinary team towards more modern and innovative cooking. Trained in French classical Chef Joey’s forte is Mediterranean cuisine which reflects in his menus with dishes from the main Mediterranean countries but also Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia.
