Chicken Tikka Skewer

500g chicken breast (cubes)
optional, capsicum cubes
optional, red onion cubes
100g yoghurt
1 tbsp garam masala powder
1 tbsp mustard oil
50g ginger/ garlic paste
1 tbsp red chilli paste
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp coriander powder
to your taste, Black salt


2 pc onion (chopped)
50g ginger paste
50g garlic paste
1 tbsp cumin powder
to your taste, red chilli paste
1 tbsp coriander powder
1 tbsp garam masala powder
100g tomato puree
optional, fresh cream
optional, kastoori Methi (dry fenugeek leaves)
optional, butter
optional, fresh coriander leaves


  • Marinate the chicken cubes for at least 6 to 8 hours. Add salt to taste.
  • Alternate the cubes of capsicum, red onion & chicken on a skewer and grill or under a alamander/very hot oven.
  • Cook until the meat has a burnt red /black scarred look.
  • Saute the onion in the butter till it becomes light golden brown.
  • Add all dry powder spices and mix it well. Add ginger and garlic paste. cook it for some time.
