About Executive Chef Klaus Keller
Klaus Keller was born in Germany and completed his apprenticeship in the King Ludwig Hotel near King Ludwigs Castle. His culinary career soon lead him to Switzerland where he further extended his experience and worked at the Intercontinental Hotel in Geneva, Hotel le Mirador in Mont Pelerin and the Convention Center Lucerne.

Klaus moved to Port Douglas, Australia in December 1992, where he fell in love with the tropical climate, relaxed style of living and incredible fresh produce from local Barramundi to an abundance of quirky tropical fruit. Klaus has been the Executive Chef here at the Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas since 2002, leading an exceptional team of over 50 chefs and stewards of over 14 nationalities. With his German precision and the relaxed Queensland atmosphere Klaus’s culinary creations are highly regarded by both visitors at the Sheraton and also friends & family while entertaining. Klaus loves nothing more than putting together a tailored menu for that special occasion.
